Busy Week

Max Mays with his winning entry

Yes but interesting and varied. In Truro I attended Communites Overview and Scrutiny and was gratified to be elected vice chair by the members of that committee. I was also involved with the World Heritage Site as a member of the Partnership Board.  Planning Committe was held in Liskeard this week and was a surprisingly short meeting, due to the absence of highly controversial applications.

The Liskeard Have Your Say panel, facilitated by the police to cover the Liskeard Rural patch, met and discussed highway and footpath matters together with items raised by attendees.Warleggan Parish also met to consider a planning application and the Trustees of St Cleer General Cemetery had their Annual Meeting. We had to be businesslike because the dull weather meant we would have been sitting in the Cemetery Chapel in the dark had we gone on for too long.

This afternoon was disappointing because the promised fun in the field at Darite Meadow Fayre had to be cancelled but a shorter programme took place in the village hall. A happy way to pass a few hours with some nice people. I especially enjoyed judging the cake competition.
