Light at the end……….

……or is it an oncoming train?

Having successfully handed over the KCCG Locality Group work to Nigel May, who was elected to chair the Umbrella Group and to sit on Locality I am sure that this work will now continue with a new figure at the helm and will go from strength to strength.

The Caradon Hill Area Heritage Project has closed but the Legacy Group, Caradon Heritage Partnership, is set to continue, holding together the history, wildlife, arts and geology groups which were formed under CHAHP. I remain heavily involved in this so that workstream continues.

St Cleer Neighbourhood Development Plan is continuing at a spanking rate, and having had various officers from CC at our meetings to give us advice on how to proceed next, I feel we have a clear way forward to our goal. The fact that all the members of the steering group have stuck with this intense piece of work makes me realise that St Cleer is blessed with a good community. There are other community initiatives being planned by different people which I am happy to help with by way of guidance and support.

Tomorrow’s Tree Planting to commemorate the start of the Great War will pull together people and organisations from across the Parish, if only todays weather could continue for the ceremony it would be lovely! It is a chance for the outlying hamlets to join the village and hopefully start conversations of mutual benefit.
