Working Smarter – but just as hard

The Neighbourhood Development Plan for St Cleer continues to make progress. I have found replacements for two of the roles I have fulfilled for some years outside of my Councillor activities and can hopefully now concentrate more fully on the core issues of Cornwall (Especially representing the 3 Parishes), and St Cleer as a member of the Parish Council. I still continue with the legacy of the Caradon Hill Area Heritage Project, the Senior Citizens Forum and the General Cemetery. All these are close to home and to my heart. I am still making several trips to Truro each week but there are not so many other meetings or work to do at home from them so I have more time to read agendas and prepare for those meetings. The work of the Scrutiny Management Committee which I vice chair is very important and quite demanding as it covers all aspects of CC except Health and Social Care and is an in depth process normally run on Select Committe lines looking at decision making in different aspects of CC each time.

I look forward to the spring and hope we can all have some dry weather before too long.
