I ask for your support

Over the last four years I have worked very hard to represent the residents of my three parishes. I have always been available by various means of communication and have also tried to be as visible as possible within the community. If re-elected on 2nd May I promise that I will continue to give 100% to the job. It is a time consuming task if done properly, requiring attendance in Truro on average 3 times a week, but I have enjoyed doing it.

I have tried to specialise in the areas which affect peoples everyday lives. Housing in particular, where I have been Scrutiny Lead on the subject. I have also been a member of the Planning Committee for the term of this Council. Due to my interest in health issues I was happy to be appointed to the Council of Governors of Derriford Hospital as Cornwall Councils representative and outside of Council to be a member of the Locality Clinical Commissioning Group.

As your  local member I have helped to get the Youth Club started in St Cleer by badgering the Youth Service for the training and advice for volunteers to enable it to be set up. I have supported the Cott Yard Project in St Neot and worked closely with the Parish Council. I have taken a keen interest in the issues in Warleggan and attended almost all their Parish meetings as well as the Parish Councils in all parishes. I have attended social events and judged carnivals and competitions across the patch.

I have used my Community Fund budget to support a wide range of organisations across the division from pre-schools through youth organisations to older peoples groups. I gave a grant to each parish towards their Jubilee celebrations and have supported halls, chapels and other community facilities.

Please give me your support on May 2nd so that I can continue the work.
