Caradon Heritage Partnership

The Caradon Hill Area Heritage Project has now closed, the reporting and final claims to the Heritage Lottery Fund were completed at the end of March 2014.  Much work has been done during the last 3 years to conserve our heritage both built and envioronmental.

The Caradon Heritage Partnership has been formed as an umbrella organisation for the groups formed with the help of CHAHP, with the intention that they will work together and provide peer support to continue the CHAHP work. You can read more about the Partnership here

Having been involved with the area around Caradon Hill for many years I  supported the Caradon Hill Area Heritage Project from the time it was first suggested. I sat on the Steering Group with several hats but the main ones were to represent St Cleer Parish Projects Group and Phoenix 100  which were a partner organisations to the CHAHP, and as a Cornwall Council member appointed by the Leader to represent the Council. I was elected by the Steering Group as their Chair. The Project was in existence until the end of 2013 and since then other groups like the Parish Projects Group  continue the work which has been started under the umbrella of CHAHP.
