Not enough hours or days

I realise that I havent been to this site for a month. I have been posting on facebook but not keeping this site up to date.

I have tried to step back fromTruro to allow time for casework and the all important work on the Neighbourhood Development Plans in the three parishes. I held public meetings in both St Neot and Warleggan and both communities wish to produce their own unique plan. St Cleer is forging ahead in its Plan process and we hope to complete in early 2015.  The website built to follow the progress of and support all the parishes in their endeavours  is here.

At Truro, the Scrutiny Management Committee, of which I am Vice-Chairman, is starting on the select committee proces of budget scrutiny. This will involve several meetings and there is at least one other issue which will need a select committee or inquiry day to be held. Looking at my diary I am in Truro 3 times this week and twice next. The trip to and from Truro makes it a long day and with evening meetings every night  I have been very busy.

I did jump off a cliff for charity. An abseil down Cheeswring Quarry in aid of Jeremiahs Journey, a local charity which supports bereaved children and young people. This was great fun and was in my view extremely safe to do. I have now fulfilled one item on my wish list.

Some time back I set up and Umbrella group for the Patient Participation Groups from all the surgeries acros South East Cornwall. The Umbrella group was chosen to do a pilot on Patient Commissioning for Kernow Clinical Commissioning. I am pleased to say it was successful and the patients role in commissioning will be made a part of the process in future.
